The Shiro Tora Championships is a tournament solely dedicated to Sensei Gerard M. Weis. He has made such an impact on the Alamogordo Community that we want to keep his spirit alive though this Annual Event. As well as The Martial Arts Community, Touching so many lives in the 48 years of his Career. The Tournament is Hosted By Complete Martial Arts, ran by his sons that keep the school open in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

This year is the 5th Annual Shiro Tora Championships and we are always looking to make it bigger and better than the previous year. This year we have 2 Seminars for the Practitioners to further their knowledge. The Cost of the Semniars are $20.00 each or $30.00 for both.

Schedule:      Registration at Door Begins: 8:00 a.m.
                       Black Belt Meeting: 9:45 a.m.
                       Tournament Starts 10:00 a.m.

Fees:      $40.00 1 or 2 Events, $5.00 for each additional event.
               Current Association (USAMA) Members receive $5.00 discount if Pre-registered by June 3rd.
               Spectators : $5.00 (5 Yrs. & Under - Free)

               Current Adult Black Belt NMSKA Members who Judge Receive a $20.00 Discount off of tournament fees.

Rules:      USAMA Tournament rules Point Sparring: 5 points for all competitors children & adult kyus & Dans
                 2 minutes fighting time. Light (touch) face contact Adult Brown & Black Belts.
                 NO face contact for Youth, Novice Adults, or Colored Belt Adults.

Equipment:      Traditional Uniforms (sleeves past elbow, No T-shirts) Foam Safety equipment
                          (head, hands, feet) is required for all sparring divisions. All Sparring divisions
                          require mouthpieces for all competitors, and Groin Protection for all male competitors.

Trophies:      Beautiful Trophies for First, Second, Third place Winners. Medals for all youth kata
                       competitors. All First place Forms Winners qualify to compete for Grand Champion
                       Awards. Beautiful Grand Champion awards for Black Belt Forms, Black Belt Men
                       Sparring, Black Belt Woman Sparring, Adult Kyu Forms, Junior Forms. <
